St. John the Baptist Catholic Church is a dynamic parishioner-based organization. In 2011, St. John's underwent a self-examination and evaluation of Church operations as a whole. Everything from process efficiency to communications channels, to the number of ministries within the Parish was reviewed. By December 2012, after a complete analysis, the Parish established the Six Pillars of Faith. These Pillars are the foundation upon which the Church operates, communicates with and serves the many individuals and organizations that make this Parish a community of faith.
Ministries within the church are organized by function into the Pillars. Each ministry is facilitated by a Chair and Co-Chair. Two members (other than the Chair or Co-Chair) sit on the Parish Council representing their ministry.
Furthermore, each pillar is assigned to a member of parish staff, known as the "Staff Resource Leader." The Staff Resource Leader serves as the pillar's liaison to the Parish Office.
