Family to Family (F2F) Program:

The cornerstone of St. John the Baptist’s Peru Ministry is the Family to Family (F2F) Program.  Several hundred Peruvian families are sponsored by St. John's parishioners and there are more to be served.  If you are interested in participating in the F2F Program please contact the F2F Liaison, Stephanie Simpson, at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..  The basic commitment is $25.00 per month which will provide food and necessary supplies for a family for approximately one half month.

If you want to adopt a family, a sponsor application form is located in the Documents side-bar on the right side of this page.  E-mail the completed form toThis email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and the Program Liaison, Stephanie Simpson, will be in touch with you.

Payment can be made monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, or annually. You may want to consider an automatic draft from your financial institution. The auto-pay form is also in the Documents side-bar on the right side of this page.

Want to help but can’t make the commitment to sponsor a family?  The St. John’s Peru Ministry accepts general monetary donations at any time.  Place your donation, with a short note explaining what you’d like the funds to be used for, in an envelope marked “Peru F2F Program.”  You can put the envelope in the collection basket at Mass or deliver it to the parish office.  Also, the Peru Ministry always accepts donations of clean, gently used clothing, shoes, household items, school supplies, tools, etc.  They can be left in the yellow rolling cart in the Donation Closet in the Commons at St. John’s.

Sending Special Gifts:

As you become closer to your family, the Holy Spirit may lead you to assist them in even more ways. Working with St. John's liaisons your specific requests can usually be accomplished.

The exchange of letters between the sponsoring and the sponsored families is encouraged in order to develop close relationships which are a blessing for all those involved.  For more information see the Container/Warehouse link on the side-bar on the right side of this page.

You can send your family a box or container with clothing, shoes, household items, bedding, religious items, school supplies, tools, etc.  The shipment of your gifts is facilitated by St. John's Peru Mission Board with two to three large container shipments to Peru per year. Please watch the church bulletin and the NEWS section of this website for shipping dates.  For more information on the types of items to send, see the Container/Warehouse link on the side-bar on the right side of this page.

You can send extra money for other needs (home repairs, education, birthdays, Christmas, etc).  When you adopt a family, you will receive more information about how to do this.
