Children too are a gift from the Lord, the fruit of the womb, a reward.
Our goal in the nursery is to provide a safe and loving place for your child to play while you attend Mass and other important Parish functions. All parishioners are welcome to use the nursery free of charge. Please come visit us in our well-equipped nursery, staffed with friendly, caring adults and teens.
Hours of Operation
The nursery is open during the following Masses:
9:00 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 5:30 p.m.
The St. John's nursery is located on the east side of the Rev. John A. Petuskey Great Hall in the Parish Center.
For Mass, we accept children from birth through kindergarten. Our Pastor recommends that children in first grade and higher attend Mass with their families.
The nursery is also available for many other events and activities offered by the Parish. Bible studies, RCIA class, the Parish Mission, and second grade sacramental parent meetings to name a few. Older children are also welcome to use the nursery for non-Mass events.
KidCheck and Safety
At St. John's, nothing is more important to us than the safety and security of your children. That's why we've chosen KidCheck as our nursery's check-in solution to bring you the best check-in experience and to allow us to partner with you to keep your children safe.
If you haven't already created your free account, please do so by going to the KidCheck website, selecting "Create Your KidCheck Account" and following the on-screen prompts. Alternatively, you can download the KidCheck Mobile Check-In app from the App Store or Google Play Store to create, manage and update your account right on your phone. (This does not check your child into the nursery, the app is strictly for account setup and maintenance.)
You can create your account from the comfort of home; it's simple and will only take a few minutes. Creating your account in advance helps your first check-in go more quickly. Once you've created your account, simply use your 10 digit phone number to check0in with us or anywhere you see the KidCheck logo.
Each nursery employee has passed a background check and has attended the Safe Environment workshop, as mandated by the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City. In addition, our nursery staff are trained in First Aid and CPR.
In order to protect the health of our children and caregivers, we kindly ask that you not bring your child into the nursery if he/she has had any of the following symptoms within the last 24 hours:
No medication is ever dispensed in the nursery.
Please notify an employee of any allergies your child may have when you sign them into the nursery.
