Samaritan House

Need Assistance?

The Samaritan House provides direct assistance to persons in need within our parish area. The Samaritan House is sponsored by St. John’s. Clients are assisted by volunteers who help sort food in the food pantry and other areas of outreach.

Hours of Operation:
The Samaritan House is open Monday-Friday from 9 AM - Noon.
(It is closed Saturdays and Sundays.)

Food Assistance:
When requesting food assistance for the first time, an individual will be asked to show a photo ID and proof of residence (lease agreement, utility bill with their name and address). Generally anyone that comes looking for food is not turned away, as this is an essential need, especially for families.

Food assistance includes canned goods, pasta, rice, beans, peanut butter, jelly, cereal, bread, meat, eggs, milk, available produce and toiletries.

Financial Assistance:
Individuals that seek financial assistance also are asked to show a photo ID and proof of residence. In addition, they are asked to provide some information about their employment status and income. The Samaritan House provides assistance to individuals who find themselves in an emergency financial need for rent and utilities. Payment is provided directly to the utility company in order for the utility to remain on, or to the landlord to ensure against eviction.

Thank You to our Sponsors

The Samaritan House would not be possible without our sponsors and the many volunteers who work in this ministry.

Thank you to Panera Bread, the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma and of course the parishioners and volunteers of St. John the Baptist!
